Chickens could be the next solution in the fight against malaria after researchers in Ethiopia found that malarial mosquitoes highly avoid chickens and other birds. The experiment was conducted in the country, where it is estimated there are 70000 malaria related deaths each year with 5 million isolated cases.
Hannane Ferdjani and Robert Kodingo had a one on one with Associate professor Habte Tekie who is part of the research about the next steps involved in finding a stable solution over this.
